We have dedicated years of volunteer hours to our local fire department (Central-Heights-Appleby VFD) and throughout our bluegrass "family" we have found that others have done the same. When the old vintage firetruck that had been sitting at the gate for years needed a face lift (or as Cowboy puts it, Sara needed a project!) what would be more fitting than to make it into a tribute truck for the brave men and women that risk their lives and also have some connection to Sandyland. The old truck has definitely been an added attraction and a great photo opportunity. Pictures, patches, and other memorabilia are added throughout the years. It has been a labor of love that we have enjoyed working on and will continue to enhance.
